Frankie Roland, Coffeyville, has always loved to write. A retired elementary education, she now has the time and is December 2006 published, "To Even The Score," a work of fiction depicting child abuse in the 30's -40's when folks usually kept to themselves and there were no advocates for the child in the schools to speak of.

In May 2009 she published, "Those Crabtree Girls!" her "fun" book about growing up with various cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and of course her parents who always showed their children love and security.
