Lab/Basset Hound Mix needs country home

 Description: Due to moving out of the state and looking to live in an apartment, we have a 3 year old male, half lab/bassett hound mix to give to a loving family who lives in the country.
He is approx. 90lbs and not neutered. He has the body of a basset, face like a lab, ears like the basset and color of the lab. He also has the energy of the lab but, the stamina of the basset. Leo, has been house trained since he was a puppy in case he needed to be brought in during the coldest of winter. I have also taught him how to sit, lay, come and sit pretty.
Due to his shedding nature, we kept him outside. In the Spring losing his winter coat would be an awful mess. Plus, he would always want outside if he was inside for too long.
He is very good with people, mild mannered and gets along with other dogs and cats. I am unsure with small children as I have grown boys, but he is very gentle with small kittens. He is a good guard dog too. He barks to let us know that someone or something is around. Before living in the city where where we are now, we lived in the country and Leo would roam to the river and explore the fields around us.
I will only consider a family who lives in the country, as he needs room to run and be free. I am very particular who he goes to, as this is my husbands pride and joy, and it breaks his heart having to give him up. I am looking for that loving family who will treat him very well, and I am being overly cautious due to people adopting dogs for fighting purposes.

Adorable female puppy needs a home!

Description: We have mixed breed female puppy in need of a good home. My daughter found her abandoned as a small puppy and we cannot keep her as we already have many pets. She is approximately 8 months old now and will be a small/med sized dog. The vet says she is probably a heeler/lab mix. She is very smart and well-behaved. She is housebroken and kennel trained and will sit on command. She walks fairly well on a leash. She gets along well with our dogs and cats. We are responsible pet owners and as such she has been spayed, has had all of her puppy shots, including her rabies shot, and she has been on heartworm and flea and tick preventative. She is somewhat timid but a very sweet dog. We live in the country so she doesn't see many other people and she needs to be better socialized in order to gain a little more confidence with new people and situations. She does fine in a fenced yard if the weather isn't too cold, while we are at work, but she is NOT an outdoor dog. If you are looking for a dog to leave outside, this dog is not for you. There will be a small rehoming fee to insure she goes to a good home. Please contact me if you are interested in giving this sweet girl her forever home.
